Coutinho returns to Liverpool squad for Sevilla clash

Philippe Coutinho was named in Liverpool s squad for Wednesday s Champions League match against Sevilla after a transfer window in which his request to leave the club proved fruitless.

The Reds refused a host of mega-money bids from LaLiga giants Barcelona and the Brazil star has since remained absent from Jurgen Klopp s team sheet, with back injuries and illness cited.

However, with Anfield hosting top-tier European football for the first time since 2014, Coutinho was again called to grace the squad with his star quality.

It did not come as a major surprise, as, when asked following the 5-0 loss to Manchester City at the weekend whether the forward would be involved, Klopp simply replied yes .

The latter has a new report available, and it seems that the title will be revealed at The Game Awards next week. It will also reportedly launch on March 6th, 2025, for consoles and PC, though the exact platforms are unknown.

Germany v Italy: Kroos calls on Khedira knowledge for Azzurri test

Toni Kroos hopes midfield colleague Sami Khedira can prove effective as Germany s man on the inside ahead of Saturday s eagerly anticipated Euro 2016 quarter-final against Italy.

The world champions serene progress to the latter stages, without conceding a goal in four outings, has all the hallmarks of a side tipped by many to go all the way in France.

Italy s exploits under Antonio Conte, with a largely unheralded squad turning in arguably the two most complete team performances of the tournament by seeing off Belgium and Spain 2-0, has by contrast caught many by surprise.

Juventus imperious defensive unit of centre-backs Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini in front of their veteran club-mate Gianluigi Buffon has proved to be Italy s immova…

Napoli will demand a fee upwards of £53m for Chelsea target Kalidou Koulibaly, according to the Express.

The twenty-six year old has been an ever present for the Naples side this season, scoring in two of their eight victories from eight so far.

Arsenal have ‘great’ title chance if they can avoid injuries – David Seaman

David Seaman believes a clean bill of health could be the difference between Arsenal winning the Premier League and falling short this season.

The Gunners are two points behind Manchester City after losing to Aston Villa last weekend but can return to the summit if they win at Wolves on Saturday.

The three-way tussle with reigning champions City and a Liverpool side which are losing manager Jurgen Klopp at the end of the campaign promises to be a title showdown for the ages.

The picture shifts after every round of fixtures and, with just six games remaining, the slightest of margins could determine the destination of the trophy.

Both Arsenal and Liverpool slipped up last week to allow City to lead the way, while Champions League quarter-final defeat to Ba…

Southampton v Crystal Palace: Pardew relishing St Mary´s return

Alan Pardew is excited about returning to one of his former clubs as Crystal Palace head to Southampton in the FA Cup.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew is relishing his return to Southampton for Saturday s FA Cup fourth-round tie.

Pardew, who was sacked as Southampton boss in 2010 after just over a year in charge, left Newcastle United earlier this month to take over at Palace, for whom he was a player for four years from 1987.

He has since overseen three successive victories, including a 4-0 win over non-League Dover in the third round of the Cup, and a 3-2 comeback triumph over Burnley in the Premier League last weekend.

However, Pardew has endured a miserable run of results at St Mary s since his dismissal by Southampton.

Podolski prepares for potential Poland date

Lukas Podolski has warned Poland that if they set up a Euro 2012 quarter-final clash with Germany, they will lose .

Having been born in Gliwice, the Cologne attacker has strong emotional ties with the tournament co-hosts and he is desperate to see Franciszek Smuda s men progress to the knockout stages.

However, while Podolski freely admits that facing the land of his birth in Gdansk in the last eight would be a special moment for him, he insisted that he would be just as ruthless as he was at Euro 2008, when he netted both goals in a 2-0 win over the Poles in the group stages.

I will watch the Poland game against Czech Republic (Saturday) and have my fingers crossed for them, but if we play against them in the quarter-finals, they will lose, the 27-year-old sai…

Kleberson tells Man United to sell Pogba

Manchester United should sell wantaway star Paul Pogba, according to former midfielder Kleberson.

Pogba is eyeing a move away from United, with the France World Cup winner linked to LaLiga giants Real Madrid and a return to Serie A champions Juventus.

The 26-year-old – who arrived at Old Trafford in an £89million deal in 2016 – is in Australia for the start of United s pre-season tour.

Kleberson spent two underwhelming years in Manchester after winning the World Cup with Brazil in 2002 and the 40-year-old believes the time is right for United to cash in.
